Call of Duty: Black Ops III was released November 6, 2015 by Activision. The game was developed by Treyarch. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a first person zombie shooter in the Call of Duty Series.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III immerses players into a dark, gritty future world where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the cutting-edge military robotics that define the future of combat.
Experience the new momentum-based, chained movement system, find the perfect Specialist to fit your play style, learn the detailed layouts of three of the new multiplayer maps, and master many new weapons and abilities, in the deepest and most rewarding multiplayer in Call of Duty history.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place in a dystopian future set in 2065, 40 years after the events of Black Ops II. Air defense systems have advanced to a point where they cancel each other out. As such, most of the warfare between countries is done by covert operatives fighting behind enemy lines.
Science and technology have radically changed both the landscape as well as the future of the human race, with society violently protesting and attempting to halt further advancements touted by scientists as “progress”.
Military technology has progressed to the point where robotics play a main role in combat, and supers oldiers have been developed to fight in the battlefield. Humans have reached the point where they are considered to be more machine than flesh and blood. As a result, there is speculation and fear about an eventual robotic takeover. The game will follow a team of black ops soldiers, like previous installments in the Black Ops series, with super soldier capabilities.
The game features zombies for a change of pace. This is reminiscent of the classic Left 4 Dead 2 etc.
The game is multiplayer focused and players are organized into small units. Like L4D2, 4 players work in a cooperative unit.
Unlike L4D2 Call of Duty: Black Ops III offers complete customization of the players skin and face etc.
The Multiplayer also introduces a new movement system, a new class system called “Specialists”, where players can pick from 9 different soldiers with different abilities and a new “Gunsmith” feature that allows for weapon customization combinations and also a camouflage designer. Zombies will contain story and multiplayer modes, both of which featuring a new XP progression system.
The campaign is more or less perfunctory even though this game is clearly designed for multiplayer. Expect to finish it in 6 or 7 hours which is typical these days.
