Killing Floor 2 released April 21, 2015 by Iceberg Interactive. The game was developed by Tripwire Interactive. Killing Floor 2 is a first person shooter. This game was yet an early release and we advise waiting for 3-6 months for the developer to finish the game.
Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter video game, that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. Killing Floor 2 will be the successor to the ridiculously fun and successful original title, that was released on 2009.
This game, like the original, is a zombie shooter. Three focal points of the game’s initial design were bullets, blades, and blood. It features enough blood and guts without being to gruesome to get banned like some games have experience.
Gameplay consists of players fighting through waves against zombie-like specimens, known as Zeds. As waves pass, the enemy count will increase and different enemy types are introduced with the final wave culminating in a boss fight. Players are equipped with melee weapons and firearms, a healing syringe, and a welder used to block passages.
Once a player dies they will not respawn until the end of the current wave; the mission is failed if all players are dead simultaneously. The game has four difficulty levels. When players kill a Zed, they earn in-game money, as well as a bonus for surviving a round, which they can use to buy and sell body armor, ammo, and weapons at a store that is only open for a limited time between rounds.
Prior to starting a game match, the player selects one of several perks representing basic combat classes that have various skill boosts, such as better damage with specific weapon types, healing other characters, or welding doors more effectively.
Players earn experience points for their character in the select class within the meta-game for each Zed killed that persist between sessions, and will gain experience levels in that class. Each level boosts the base skill statistics, while every five levels, the player will be able to select one of two specific skills to enable for their character. Skills include a mix of passive and active abilities.
The game also features dynamic and destructible lights and other breakable objects, which didn’t exist in the first game. The melee combat has been revamped with the addition of a blocking mechanism; attack motions are now dictated by the player character’s direction of movement. Alien Swarm also had blocking so a player could not reload while being attacked.
- New Gore – Players will send entrails, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. If caught, enemies will rip them, and their entire party limb from limb.
- Brutal Melee Combat – Killing Floor 2 reinvents melee combat completely.
