TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON ADVANCED WARFIGHTER

ghost_recon_advanced_warfighter_coverTom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) was released March 9, 2006 by Ubisoft. The game was developed by Ubisoft. Its the third release in the series. GRAW is a first person shooter.

This game uses disc checks and Securom, Macromedia, Starforce, Tagès and other protection systems are being rejected by Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10 for security reasons (KB3086255).

This game was delayed a hoped for November 2005  launch but instead it had to be pushed back to the following spring.

The wait is worth it though as GRAW has shown itself to be a quality AAA grade shooter.

The list of impressive additions is long and detailed, just as the feature list is, but the core elements to this game emerge from the single-player campaign’s integrated presentation and graphics, which tie the game together like few before it.

Your gear consists of a light-weight bullet-proof vest, an extensive set of weapons for riflemen, grenadiers, and marksmen, and a visor-equipped helmet with video and audio transmissions via the Cross-Com and the Nar-Com, two devices that quickly become your best friends.

Mexico is in the throes of rebellion, and it’s up to the Ghosts to put an end to the coup d’etat.

Gameplay emphasis is placed upon the player to do the bulk of the fighting while AI teammates tag along.

The player controls a single squad of soldiers, but only directly controls the squad leader. However, the player can issue commands to the AI-controlled team members to maneuver them indirectly.

Commands for NPCs are similar to the online play.

The player can become tired more easily when loaded with ammo. This is an uncommon feature in a first person shooter.

MULTIPLAYER

Online multiplayer on the PC edition has both versus and co-op mode.

Versus allows up to 32 players and cooperative allows up to 4 players.

The servers are no longer available.
